WE NEED YOUR HELP

You Can Make a Difference
As previously stated LRET was established by a small group of volunteers for the
community and will be totally reliant upon the continued support of the community if we
are to achieve our aims. How can you help?

Volunteering Opportunities
As a registered charity, LRET is a non-profit making organisation. All the funds for the
development of this project have been generated by the local community and grants from
various agencies, in particular Heritage Lottery Fund and Whelk Leader +.
As revenues will only be gained from visiting tourists, which will be required to meet
operating costs and fund the acquisition of additional exhibits for the Museum, the
support of a Voluntary Team to help set up, administer and operate the
Exhibition/Museum will be vital to the success of LRET's aims and objectives.
Quite simply, anybody can volunteer. No matter what experience or background,
everyone will have a positive contribution to make this diverse, vibrant and exciting
project. No matter how much time you can offer your help will nuke a difference.

Do you have something to share?
Information and Advice

Do you have a story to tell! As an agricultural community we all have a story to tell about
Rural Life in Lochaber, and we are keen to share in your experiences so that we may
include them within the Exhibition and preserve them as part of our heritage.
This project is for the benefit of everyone in our community, and consequently we would
be delighted to receive your views, ideas and advise on how you feel the project should be
developed. Please contact us. You can make a difference!

Donations and Loans
We are currently developing the individual concepts for the opening display themes, and
intend to introduce new themes each season. Consequently we are continually searching
for new exhibits.
That said we have an immediate need for historic photography detailing Rural Life in
Lochaber to include within several of the Display Themes. Should you have such items,
or indeed other items that you feel may be suitable we would be delighted to discuss the
loan or gifting of potential exhibits. Please Contact Us.
